Charlotte Schleiffert’s life-sized drawings and paintings combine imagination with themes of power and oppression. Strong female figures are at the heart of her work, while her compositions also reflect social and political developments in contemporary society. Her work invites viewers to engage with these themes from multiple perspectives.

Spreaded throughout De Kromhouthal, visitors were invited to discover impressive paper sculptures and installations. From delicate hand-folded structures to monumental drawings, Paper Perspectives demonstrated how paper pushed the boundaries of traditional sculpture.

At Art On Paper Amsterdam we strive to maintain an international perspective by ensuring that approximately 40% of the participating galleries and artists come from outside the Netherlands. While we are committed to showcasing the strength and diversity of the Dutch art scene, we believe it is equally important to present outstanding paper artworks from around the world.

Christophe Malfliet creates his art by using the mediums painting and mixed media such as collage, and screen printing. Through a distinctive use of color and rich symbolic imagery, he transforms each canvas into a narrative waiting to be explored.

Heb jij een passie voor hedendaagse kunst, met een bijzondere interesse in werken op papier? En wil je ervaring opdoen achter de schermen van een internationale kunstbeurs? Dan is dit jouw kans!
Voor de organisatie van Art on Paper Amsterdam zoeken we een stagiair(e) voor minimaal 32 uur per week, van september 2026 tot maart 2027.
Tijdens je stage werk je mee aan de organisatie van een beurs die volledig is gewijd aan kunst op papier. Je krijgt veel verantwoordelijkheid, persoonlijke begeleiding en een uniek kijkje achter de schermen van de kunstwereld.
Wat bieden we? Een leerzame en afwisselende stage, een waardevol netwerk binnen de kunstsector, een stagevergoeding van € 500,- per maand (fulltime) en een reiskostenvergoeding voor wanneer je buiten Amsterdam woont tot € 250,- (NS Business Card) per maand.

Art on Paper Amsterdam 2026 has officially wrapped up, and we would like to express our sincere thanks to the galleries that participated and to the visitors who came to look at, admire, and buy art.
It takes a lot of hard work from everyone involved to build up an art fair, and we’re already taking the first steps towards Art on Paper 2027! More information will be forthcoming.
