Janknegt Gallery was founded in 1998 and specializes in works on paper by contemporary Dutch and international artists. The gallery is known for its tightly focused one-person shows and for imaginative thematic exhibitions that present contemporary artists in new and illuminating contexts. The gallery is also dedicated to exhibiting the work of overlooked young artists in art historical contexts. Trained as an art historian, Justine de Klerk-Janknegt brings a scholarly focus and emphasis on research to the gallery program. She is also a mentor for young artists at Cultuur en Ondernemen.
